School, College, Studying

Anyone have any tips on studying? I try, and try, but it is just so uninteresting and I can’t retain any of the information I’m trying to remember. Which, obviously isn’t good since I’m in college and this is setting my career in place and on its path. Another nice thing to know would be websites for studying. I’m in the following classes if it helps: Intro to Sociology, Intro to Psychology, Anatomy & Physiology, Race & Ethnic Diversity, and last but not least English Composition.

  1. Looking at a textbook can be overwhelming if you are trying to retain the information. When reading, write some things down on a note card that you think will be on a test. This will break it into easier chunks to memorize and easier to break out in a free five minutes. When it comes to writing papers, use the writing center provided at your school and utilize your professor’s office hours. Are you at a big school? If so, become chummy with the professor’s assistant. Hope this helps.
